Brief Description: 2: Control Stick Wire Terminations
I also spent some time today working out how to terminate the control stick wiring under the floor. The plans make no provision for this so you need to come up with something yourself.
Using some scrap pieces of thin aluminium angle I made up the brackets shown below, one for each side, then alodined and painted and pop-riveted in place. While installing the first one I realised that this may now preclude me from easily installing the crotch strap brackets, but I wasn't figuring on fitting these anyway. Will just be a bit more work later should I ever change my mind.
With just two wires coming from the passenger side control stick, this one was quite easy to terminate on my underfloor bracket. I drilled a couple holes so I could secure the sleeved wires, and I also drilled another hole to secure a small 2-way terminal block.
The pilot side control stick has quite a few more wires, and I first need to get some more terminal strip before I can finish this side off.
