Brief Description:  2: Throttle Mixture Bracket

Also this morning I bolted up the engine controls bracket to the underside of the instrument panel .... and this sure was easier said than done!

First up I decided to rivet the spacers that I made yesterday in place, rather than just rely on tank sealant to hold them in place. Turns out this was a good idea as one came unstuck while I was preparing it.

I fitted the control cables to the bracket, and then bolted it into place. Gee, this is a difficult task, as the bolts, which go in from inside the machined out portion of the bracket, are very difficult to get to. But it's my own design, so only myself to blame.

With the controls bolted in place I then sat in the cockpit and did some "hangar flying". All good. In fact, having the throttle further to the left than my original design actually works better. I can operate the flaps with my thumb, without taking my hand off the throttle.
