Brief Description:  Throttle/Mixture Bracket

Today I picked up my new, machined aluminium engine controls bracket from local engineering firm, MineTech. They've done a good job, and for the cost of a slab of beer. Pretty happy with that.

As good a job as this bracket is, there is a couple mistakes that I made. When drawing up the design I didnt make the hole locations completely clear. As a result the spacing is opposite to what I intended, with the end result being that the Alternate Air control is now going to be on the far right, instead of far left. So left to right I'm now going to have Throttle -- Mixture -- Alt Air, instead of Alt Air -- Throttle -- Mixture. Should still be fine.

Also, when match drilling the mounting holes I realised that they are too close to the ends, and the bolt heads cannot sit flat against the inside of the bracket. I had to make up a small spacer for each end, as shown in the second picture below, to overcome this. I've set them in place with some tank sealant, but will also put a couple rivets in tomorrow as well.

Once all holes were drilled to correct sizes, and spacers made up, I then rubbed out the machining marks from the front face on some wet and dry sand paper, then cleaned it up and alodined. I'll do some more on this tomorrow.
