Another job started today was making up a mounting bracket for the engine controls. Since I'm going with a fixed pitch propellor, all I need to consider is the throttle, mixture control, and alternate air control. Pictures below show how they'll be arranged.
I'm using the standard kit bracket simply as a template. Mate PeteH had a really neat bracket machined up out of a 1" billet of aluminium for his RV-7A, and it looks so much nicer than the flimsy Vans supplied part.
Anyway, I'll make up the standard bracket for now and then give it to a local machine shop so they can use it as a template.
