Brief Description: 1: Instrument Panel Cut-Outs and Layout
I spent the majority of today cutting out mounting holes in the instrument panel for the trim position indicator, the key switch, and the master and alternator rocker switches.
Although very time consuming, I am pleased with the results.
I decided to mount the master and alternator rocker switches as shown, rather than along the underside of the primary Skyview display where the other switches will be.
I also spent a good hour or so drawing out various switch layouts onto the bare aluminium. Once I start cutting there's no going back, and I want it to look right. I also want the Fuel Pump switch, and the Flap switch to be spaced differently to the rest to make them instantly distinguishable in flight just by their placement. Anyway, for now this is still a work in progress.
