Brief Description:  More Panel Wiring

A good day in the workshop today as I continued with wiring of my avionics. Although the various pre-made wiring harnesses are expensive, they do make life a lot easier.

I have pre-made wiring harnesses for my transponder, intercom/audio panel and VP-X system, with the harnesses alone costing around A$1,500.

Today I ran in wiring for the flap motor, CO2 monitor, USB power outlet, alternator field, stall warning power and some of the audio cables from the intercom.

The Dynon intercom is really neat. As well as pilot/co-pilot mic inputs, it also has provision for audio inputs from the EFIS, the VHF Radio (of course), one muted source and one non-muted source. Plus there's a "Music In" socket on the front panel, and another music input should I wish to put another music jack somewhere else.

I'm going to wire my AoA audio output ("Too Slow....Too Slow....") to the non-muted input. At this stage I'm not sure how I'll manage the audio tone form the stall warning switch. I'll either wire it to the muted input (the AoA audio will override), or come up with a mixer so that the stall warning switch can share the non-muted input with the AoA system. Probably a simple mixer.

I'm enjoying this.
