After a wait of 10 weeks for my new empennage fairing parts, they finally arrived. Today I spent a few hours fitting the underside gap covers and rubber seal strips. Thankfully the pre-drilled holes all lined up okay, so it was just a metter of trimming the gap covers to allow a neat fit for the rubber seals. The seals themselves also needed trimming on the inside so they don't foul against the longerons.....easier said than done.
Since Vans didn't ask me to send back the part they incorrectly supplied, then I now have an RV-7/A empennage fairing for sale.
