Today I thought I'd fit the lead counterweights to both the left and right elevators. Each elavator has two weights, so four in total, and they all need to be trimmed so they fit inside the confines of the respective ribs.
After marking out cut lines on each weight, as per the drawings, I then trimmed the excess at the bandsaw, and sanded and/or filed the cut surfaces so each part fit neatly into place.
I torqued the AN3 retaining bolts to 28 in-lb.
I also had a bit of a play around with the electric servo on the trim tab this afternoon. No pictures, but I connected the motor up to my 14VDC power supply and tested the travel in each direction. Works well.
