Next up today I riveted the left elevator attachment point reinforcement plates onto the spar. These also include a heavy duty nut plate. Went well, even though I messed up one rivet (which I drilled out and did again).
The elevator control horn, and inboard rib, were next. A few rivets in this area were quite difficult to set properly, however I got there okay in the end.
The next step is to rivet the spar onto the top skin, a job I found impossible to do by myself on the right elevator. Two days ago I had Steve here with me to help, but not so lucky today. I'll ask a work mate to help me with this tomorrow, so for now I've just set it all up ready to go.
I finished the day off by jumping ahead in the instructions to the simple little task of back riveting nutplates to the trim tab cover skin doubler.
