Brief Description: 1: Match Drilling the Right Elevator
Not a good start to proceedings this morning. The very first thing I did I stuffed up. Thankfully I was able to fix it.
I riveted the right elevator inboard rib onto the spar ....... the wrong way around! Then, in drilling out the three rivets I managed to enlarge the holes slightly. After pondering my dilema for some time, I decided to drill the holes out and dimple to the next size. I didn't have any AN426AD4-xx rivets short enough, so cut some longer ones down to size with my pliers.
My second attempt was much better.
After I got that drama out of the way I then got on with clecoing the elevator pieces together and match drilling all holes that hadn't already been done. Then was the fun part of pulling it all apart again to dimple.

All holes match drilled.
All sorts of trouble trying to dimple the counterbalance rib. This how I ended up doing it.
