Spent a big day in the shed today preparing all the elevator parts for assembly. All the usual stuff. Deburr holes, smooth edges, clean with isopropyl alcohol, etch in alumibrite, treat with alodine, spray paint with two pack epoxy primer.
Sounds simple enough. Anyway, six hours later, all done. I just need to paint the inside of the skins with acid etch primer tomorrow.
First a clean with isopropyl alcohol
Next up it's into the Alumibrite bath to get rid of any remaining dirts and oils.
After alodine treatment, all parts then get a coat of two-pack epoxy primer
