I arrived home from a week in Adelaide to find my replacement AN3 bolts from Vans waiting for me. With a much better understanding of just how little effort is required to "trip" my torque wrench when set at 28 inch-pounds, I managed to successfully bolt up the centre elevator hinge bracket to the HS rear spar without stripping any threads.
Now the HS is finished.
