Brief Description: 1: Alodining
First up this morning I set up my long alodining trough, and filled it with deoxidiser. I'd already cleaned each piece down with isopropyl alcohol the day before, so straight into the de-ox bath. Just a bit over a minute in the bath, then I rinsed down with the hose (on heavy mist) and set aside.
I then drained the deoxidiser, rinsed the trough, and refilled it with alodine. Each part then went in for a bit over three minutes before again, rinsing down with the hose and setting aside to dry.
All four parts (I did the three short pieces yesterday) came out a nice golden colour, with no finger marks. I used wire hangers hooked in rivet holes to handle the pieces. Worked nicely, albeit a bit awkward.
