Brief Description: 1: Final Stages of HS fabrication
Tonight I continued with the final stages of the horizontal stabiliser, first touching up the primer on a couple of the wing ribs, and then clecoing the rear spar into position in readiness for riveting into it's final resting spot tomorrow.
While admiring my work, however, I noticed that there is about 20 rivet heads that could do with just a little extra hit with the rivet gun to get them properly flush with the skin. Bugger. I cannot fix them with the rear spar in place, so off it came again.
A bit of touch-up paint to the inside of the HS.
Re-cleco'd the rear spar into place.....
....only to take it out again so I can fix up a few non-perfect rivet heads.
