After a couple hours practicing it was now time to turn my attention to the real thing. First up I made a couple simple jigs to hold the spar sections upright, then I set about rivetting the angle brackets to the front spar. A couple needed to be drilled out and re-done, but overall I am quite satisfied with the results.
The little rivet guage has been such a good buy and has been invaluable in helping me determine what a correctly set shop head looks like.
I then finished off all the remaining rivets that I couldn't get to yesterday with the hand squeezer, before doing the same on the rear spar.
Very happy.
Half way through the front spar, and so far, so good
