Spent some time in the later half of today priming my nicely alodined wing ribs. Seems a shame to go over the lovely gold finish, but all in the name of maximum corrosion protection.
I'm using a light green two-pack primer for any parts that are alodined, while I also have a tin of grey etch primer which I'll use on the inside surface of the skins (which won't be alodined). Unfortunately I ran out of primer, so will need to get a few more cans from All Type Paints when in Adelaide next week.
Prior to painting I also reapplied my ID markings to each component, so I know where they all go during final assembly. These markings got rubbed off with the isopropyl alcohol prior to alodining, so I had to be very careful that I always knew which part was which.
