This afternoon I got on with the not-so-fun job of deburring edges and lightening holes of the ten main ribs and six nose ribs.
First I did all the lightening holes using scotchbrite pads. Then I took all the parts to my bench grinder and smoothed/deburred all the "outside" flange notches and edges on the scotchbrite wheel (so glad I got one of these). Next I tackled the "inside" flange edges using a mini deburring tool mounted in my Dremel (see photo). I went through about 12 of these little scothbrite-type brushes....lucky they were cheap. Lastly I checked over all parts again and cleaned up any spots I missed with a needle file and scotchbrite pad. Phew, that took a while.
I finished the afternoon off by getting all parts flat using the fluting tool.
My Dremel came in handy for deburring inside edges of the wing ribs
