One thing that's been bugging me for quite some time now is how do I access the vertical card compass adjustment screws when I need to calibrate it. Hmmm.
I was thinking I take it out of the aeroplane to calibrate it, but then I realised it won't actually be calibrated because, well, it's out of the aeroplane and not surrounded by all the metal and electronic gizmos of its normal resting place.
I ended up carefully measuring and drilling a couple small 4mm holes in the panel so that I can get access to the screws. What I didn't count on was drilling the holes a little wonky. Not as bad as the photo would make it seem, but a bugger nonetheless. I might work out a plan to even them up a bit.

Taking the pilot side EFIS out sure makes for easy access
