Last weekend was a big weekend indeed. I knocked off work early on Friday and hit the road, with the fuselage loaded onto my trailer, and the back of the ute full of other aeroplane stuff.
I left Roxby at 1:00pm, and made it to Murray Bridge at aorund 9:00pm, very much the worse for wear (me, not the aeroplane). After an overnight stop in a cheap caravan park cabin, I then hit the road again the next day and got in to Mount Gambier around 12:30pm.
I immediately started unwrapping and unstrapping the fuselage and was ever so relieved to see that there was no damage sustained during the very long road trip. With some help from Brianna and Matt we got the fuselage unloaded from the trailer and parked neatly in the hangar.
I spent Sunday doing some more work on the hangar fit-out, before then hitting the road again on Monday for the drive back to Roxby. Round trip........ 2,200km ....... and I need to do it a few more times yet as I continue to relocate my workshop down south.
