Brief Description: 1: Panel Switch Wiring - Take 2
So today I started again with the panel switch wiring. First I came up with a method to significantly reduce the number of wires to each switch. I found some tinned hook-up wire and at each switch I "commoned-up" all the posts that require a ground connection, and also all the posts that require a +12V connection for the lamps. The first picture below shows what I did.
The result .... instead of five wires at each switch for these connections, I now only need two.
Next I made up some small angle brackets with wiring saddles attached (second picture). These will allow me to form a proper wiring loom.
I then started with wiring of the ground wires. The third picture shows where I got to at day's end. This is going to be so much neater, and a lot more reliable given the reduction in number of wiring connections.
