Some time ago I was browsing the Anti Splat Aero website and I saw a neat pair of high-grade stainless steel brackets that they've designed that add significant strength to the vertical stabiliser front attachment point. I liked the idea, so bought them.
The brackets are designed so that they can be fitted any time, but I figured it would be easiest done now, and drilled the necessary bolt holes with the assembly sitting on my workbench.
While here I also installed the rivets that hold the regular attach plate to the vertical stabiliser front spar. The pneumatic squeezer made short work of these.
