This morning I also made up a molex plug for my tail nav/strobe light. I want to have molex plugs and sockets throughout on this aeroplane. Will be some extra work, but I figure it'll make life easier throughout the life of the aircraft.
I started by threading a piece of wiring sleeve over the individual light wires for added protection, and held it in place with a small piece of white heatshrink.
I then crimped the tiny molex pins to the individual wires (second picture) and, once satisfied that all were secure, I inserted them into the plug housing.
Ultimately, this will simply plug into a corresponding molex socket at the bottom of the rudder assembly.
