Brief Description: Cleaned up and repaired used harnesses
Spent time today inspecting, cleaning, and making minor repairs to various sensor harnesses that will be installed in the next few days. I began by inspecting the wiring that will support the EGT and CHT instruments. Most of this wire was encased in woven stainless shielding and had some oil and dirt residue.
Each cable run was wiped clean with some solvent, dried, and then checked for any chaffing/abrasion. Any chafed areas on the main harness were covered with heat shrink tubing. I opted to cover the entire length of each sensor cable (can be seen in image below). Overall, the harness and various cable runs were in good shape and should last for many more years.
