Brief Description: Completed glove box except for latch
I finished up the glove box this morning by fabricating the hinged door. The photos below show the completed assembly minus a latch. I have ordered a miniature latch from Southco that I am hoping will work well and look good. We will see, as they say.
You will see below the glove box is mounted to the panel with countersunk #6 screws top and bottom. The two holes you see on the sides will be filled with flush rivets. These holes are left over from the mounting brackets for the original radio. I will be sanding and repainting the panel so these rivets will not be seen. I considered making the glovebox permanent by riveting it in place but decided instead to make it easily removeable. I think the countersunk screws will look ok.
