Brief Description: Fabricated and installed starboard brake line
Managed to get the second brake line fabricated and installed today. This one went a little faster than the first. This time around I just put in the first bend, attached the line at the bulkhead fitting and hand bent and routed the aluminum line. Once the basic line was formed, I slipped the vinyl chafe protection on, and flared the end that attaches to the brake caliper. Once it was installed I fitted the gear access plate by cutting a slot where the brake line crosses under the U bracket. The plate fits nice.
Awhile back I installed one more LED idiot light in the panel to warn when the stick starter switch is enabled (notice the light labeled START ENABLE). I applied the rub-on labels a few days ago but had not yet tried clear coating the new label. I removed the lights temporarily and masked the area around the label so I could apply a couple light coats of clear without getting the paint on surrounding instruments. It's not perfect but it looks acceptable.
