Brief Description: Final riveting of rudder stops & cable fairings
Set the final rivets in the port and starboard rudder stops. The upper rivet was a standard solid number 4 rivet. I used a structural blind rivet for the bottom since the flush head was so close to the corner of the angle.
I ordered a couple rudder cable fairings from one of the RV vendors a while back, Avery I believe. Anyway, after securing the nylon tubing that protects the rudder cable from chafing (adel clamp secured with number 8 screw, washer, and lock nut) I began trimming and fitting the fairings. I had left three of the rivet holes empty earlier where the side skins get secured to the lower longeron. Two of these holes were used in attaching the fairings. The third hole got a std rivet.
