The rivets that fasten the forward fuselage top skin, the side skins, the upper longerons, and the gear towers are very hard to buck. You have to get a bar up in the top of the towers by reaching in through the lightening holes in the tower assemblies. I decided that would be too difficult so I ordered some Cherry rivets that have a 1/8" body but a flush head that would normally be found on the 3/32" rivets.
My plan is to drill the holes out to #30 and install the blind rivets. There will be six in each of the towers. The mandrel apparently snaps off at the surface of the rivet head filling the void. I think this will provide a decent appearance and will be much easier to install.
