Brief Description: Prepared fuel selector valve for installation
Today was spent getting a list together to order a variety of items needed to continue the fuselage build. Some items were relatively inexpensive but a few such as custom throttle quadrants for the front and rear cockpits were not so cheap. Anyway, I got orders off to a number of different vendors so the necessary parts should begin arriving the middle of next week.
There was a little time late in the day so I did the prep work for installing the fuel selector valve. I don't like the stock height of the selector handle above the mid-cabin cover so I made some spacers to lower the valve body in its mount. The bolt spacers shown in the photo below are 15/16" (a little more than noted in the plans) but this allows the pointer to be installed about 1/8-3/16" above the surface of the fancy plate. The spacers on the shaft of the valve ensure a solid fit against the mounting bracket. There should still be plenty of room beneath the valve for the fuel lines and fittings.
