The rudder cables were routed through the fuselage and snap bushings inserted where required. I then temporarily installed the rudder pedals and idler arms for the rear seat rudder pedals.
Brackets had to be mounted on the forward portion of the center section to hold and guide the rear seat pedals. These brackets had to be match drilled and nutplates added to the underside of the flange on the center section for the attach screws. Nutplates were also required for attaching the brackets to the seat ribs. I should be able to finish rigging the cables in the next shop session.
The last task for today was to add a final nutplate for attaching the mid cabin cover on the starboard side. I had to order a special nutplate that could be attached in a corner. There wasn't enough room for the pneumatic tool so I used a big set of vise-grips with the jaws ground smooth per Van's shop manual. The vise-grips work but just don't get pinched!
