Brief Description:  Fitted aft bottom skin around tail spring

I traced the cutting pattern included on drawing 73 and transfered it to the aft bottom skin. I drilled a #30 pilot hole at the "pointy" end of the slot and enlarged it to 1/4" to get the small radius curve. The cut pattern was outlined with electrical tape and a Dremel tool with a small cut off wheel used to remove the material. The edges were cleaned up with a Dremel sanding drum, a couple files, and some fine sandpaper.

The pattern must be slightly undersized because even when the rough cut is filed to final size there is interference with the tail spring mount. It took a couple test fits and some more material removal to get the fit shown in picture 3 below. I think the skin may still be slightly touching the sides of the mount tube. If so, I will do a little more filing to ensure there is a little clearance between the skin and tube.
