I hit the shop early this morning after a quick trip to the local hardware to pick up a brass handle and some nylon feet (for furniture). I put a final coat of polyurethane on the case and installed the carrying handle and nylon feet.
By the way, I made a label reading "ON(-) OFF ON(+)" and attached next to the switch before applying the polyurethane. The finished power pack is both a handy tool and looks nice too.
Total cost of materials for this project was about $25 (batteries, switch, wire, handle, and nylon feet). The particle board, project plywood, stain, paint, and polyurethane was material already found in the shop.
