Brief Description:  Complete riveting on vertical stabilizer

Completed the riveting of the vertical stabilizer. Began by adjusting the work stand to position the stabilizer about waist high so I could see both the machined and shop head on the rivets. My normal process is to cleco every third hole and place rivets in the intervening two holes. Each rivet is taped in position with Scotch brand magic tape (the blue plaid type is easily removable). While not really necessary, I deburred each dimpled hole a second time just before inserting the rivet. It guarantees a well seated flush rivet. Once all the rivets are in place, I go to work with the pneumatic squeezer (a great tool, highly recommended). The last step is to remove the remaining clecoes and rivet as before. I am really pleased with the results. The vertical stabilizer has no flaws so a polished finish is an option.
