Brief Description: Match drill leading edge & fabricate Z brackets
In preparation for match drilling the leading edge assembly the inboard end rib and joint splice plate had to be positioned. This operation took a little more time than expected but once positioned, the entire assembly was match drilled. This included all the rib to skin holes and the span-wise holes attaching the skin to the main spar.
The Z brackets were fabricated per the shop instructions, match drilled to the main spar, platenuts attached, and then bolted to the main spar. The tank rear baffle was clecoed in place on the Z brackets and alignment checked. The final inboard Z bracket was inserted between the baffle and spar and clecoed for final match drilling to the main spar.
