Brief Description: Final tank skin rivets and shop head sealing
Connie helped me finish up some final rivets on the leading edge of the tank. I found it difficult to handle both the bucking bar and the gun on these rivets (arms aren't long enough). And besides, I didn't want to risk any bad rivets or skin blemishes since I am still hoping for a polished finish. Finished the session by beginning to seal all the rivet shop heads. It is going to be a bit tedious reaching back in the tank recesses, applying the sealant, and then inspecting very carefully with a light and mirror. After this initial session, I think the results might be better if the sealant is thinned a little so it will flow better around any imperfections of the shop head and dimples.
