I finished some miscellaneous tasks this morning including fabricating and installing the tank vent line, installing and safety wiring the flop tube, and sealing and riveting the fuel sender reinforcement plate on the baffle. It probably wasn't necessary to seal the platenuts and rivet shop heads on the baffle ring but it can't hurt. I need to check with some other builders and determine how the rubber gasket for the fuel sender and the cork gasket on the root rib access plate is sealed. On some logs it looks like these gaskets may be prosealed while on other logs the gaskets look relatively clean (no sealer). Need to review the shop instructions!
