I needed some miscellaneous tools, some just to replace expendibles and some new items required for some upcoming shop tasks. Specifically, I placed an order to Cleaveland for additional 3M Scotchbrite wheels and pads, a couple reamers (3/16" and 1/4"), a back rivet set, 10 extra clecos (black) and a Parker tube flaring tool.
My original back rivet set has sheared the roll-pin holding the nylon bushing three times. I suspect the replacement pins were not properly tempered and plan to acquire some new pins from another source and repair the rivet set again. However, I wanted a backup tool in the event another pin shears in the middle of some time sensitive task such as tank sealing.
My original 3M wheels (one 2" and two 1") were worn out on the empennage and initial wing work. The additional wheels and pads should last into the fuselage construction phase. The Parker tool will be required when preparing the fuel tank vent lines, pitot line, fuel lines, etc.
