Brief Description:  Storing inventory and building wing jig

I began the day storing all the small parts in wall mounted cabiinets. Many of the bags contained additional supplies of rivets and fasteners that came with the empennage kit. These bins were already labeled so putting these parts away was quick. However, there are many new items, particularly rivets, screws, and bolts that required new bins to be marked. The whole process took just under two hours.

After taking some measurements on the main spars, I began fabricating the support arms to hold the spars on the jig uprights. The brackets at the root end were clearly shown on the plans and were easy to make from some scrap aluminum angle. The brackets at the spar tip, however, took a little more thinking. The plans show the spar mounted in the jig with the ribs in place. I wanted to mount the spar before beginning work on the platenuts, bellcrank, etc., so I made a temporary bracket to secure the spar tip. When I get to the ribs, it will be necessary to modify the bracket a bit.

While I would like to continue working on the wing, the lawn needs mowed before the rains begin tonight. Should be able to get back in the workshop tomorrow.
