Brief Description:  Painting table

Somewhere on the web I saw an RV builder suggesting a paint table using chicken wire stretched over a frame fabricated from pvc pipe. I copied the basic idea but used some scrap lumber and stainless steel mesh purchased at Lowes. When ready to prime, I move the table to the front of the garage, open the door, move the cars to the far end of the driveway and spray. Any overspray goes through the mesh and is dry before it hits the floor. It can be swept up with a broom. Remember, I am priming at this point with rattle cans. The table can be broken down in the winter making room for at least one car in the garage in bad weather.

My wife and cobuilder, Connie, also found the paint table handy refinishing some kitchen cabinet handles a few weeks ago. She prepared all the handles, layed them out on the table, sprayed a nickel finish and completed the process with a clear coat. The mesh on the table works much better than a solid table covered with paper.
