Brief Description: Nav/strobe light wiring & SafeAir pitot line
I spent too much time today identifying and testing the wing circuits, all because I forgot some of the prep that was done in moving the fuselage to the new hangar. I had disconnected some wiring in the engine compartment (removed a temporary jumper) that supplied power to the buss bar controlled by the master switch. It took me a little while studying the schematics before I remembered the jumper.
Anyway, once the jumper was reinstalled the power was restored to the wing wiring. I identified the leads for the nav position lights, the strobes, and the sync wire. After reviewing the AeroLed wiring diagrams I installed a molex connector at the wing tips. I wired a four-pronged connector to include a ground lead which will be screwed to the tip rib. I also included a lead for grounding the shield on the 3-conductor cable. The same will have to be done at the wing root apparently.
Still need to install the wires/molex connectors for the taxi and landing lights. I will also have to terminate the coax in the left wing once I determine eactly how to install a bulkhead BNC female connector. The wires will have to be anchored and tied so they won't chafe.
