Connie and I have been doing a huge amount of work at the new hangar getting ready to move the RV-8 project. Thought I would take a few minutes this evening to document the project. You will see below the exterior view of the hangar with the construction complete (new wall, man door, sectional steel overhead door, new insulated rubber membrane roof, and gutter/down spouts).
With the doors open you see the front view. Moving inside, I am taking the photos moving left to right around the hangar. I may add some fiberglass batting type insulation between the studs before winter but for now, I am calling the front wall finished. The internal concrete block walls have been painted with two coats of paint (Drylock used on all the walls having an exterior surface to stop any moisture penetration). Still plan to add a first aid cabinet and a coat rack on the wall inside the man door, probably on either side of the fire extinguisher.
Note the SORTIE sign above the door. Picked the lighted sign up from an EBAY site in French speaking Canada. Thought it was more appropriate for a hangar than EXIT. Connie added the EXIT arrow for good measure.
