I ordered a new Hartzell controllable propeller a couple weeks ago and was notified late last week it was ready for pickup at the manufacturing plant in Piqua, Ohio. I made an appointment to pick up the prop and was given a plant tour at the same time.
Hartzell has a really nice facility in Piqua where they manufacture a complete range of propellers for both the certified and experimental markets. It was really cool to see the various manufacturing steps in the creation of my new propeller. If you ever get a chance to visit the Hartzell facility, I highly recommend the tour.
