I temporarily installed the aft and side baffle components to determine how much trim and fitting might be necessary. I located all the mounting bosses on the engine where baffle fasteners will be installed. Most are fine, however, I will have to drill and tap one screw location where the aft baffle attaches to the engine on the starboard side. For some reason, the engine does not have a pre-drilled hole in this location.
I think the oil cooler is mounted too high and will require relocation lower on the aft baffle. There are no good measurements in the plans. It simply says to mount as high as possible for best cooling. I need to lay the top cowl on the fuselage and see if I have good clearance. I suspect it will be necessary to order some replacement pieces and redo the oil cooler mount. I am fairly certain I screwed the pooch on this one.
