Brief Description: Exhaust and intake tube problem
I discovered a serious problem with the Vetterman exhaust pipes and the intake tubes on my Lycoming engine. I had my engine built locally from what was originally an angle valve 200 HP engine. When it was converted to a parallel valve configuration the "ram horn" intake tubes were modified to fit the new dimensions. Unfortunately, the new geometry isn't compatible with the stock RV-8/M1B Vetterman pipes.
I will have to have Vetterman modify my pipes or find a set of stock or aftermarket M1B intae tubes. I haven't decided which solution to pursue just yet.
