Brief Description:  Test install on axles, brakes, and pants bracket

My plan for routing the brake lines documented in the previous log entry is not acceptable so it has been discarded. Its problem was that the lines could not be removed once installed without partially removing the gear legs and that's just too much trouble. Reminds me of a couple cars I owned that couldn't be easily maintained.

So, I began today by experimenting with some 1/4" copper tubing to find a routing path for the brake lines that will alow their maintenance without interfering with some other component. In addition, I want to route the lines such that they do not obstruct the gear bolt heads (cannot bleed and remove brake lines to torque bolts). If you look at picture 1 and 2 below you will see the basic route, however, the line will have to have more of a "U" shaped bend so it leaves clearance around the bolt for a socket.

I made up the wheel pant mounting brackets and test installed the axle and brake assembly. Tomoroow, hopefully, I can get the two brake lines fabricated.

By the way, the copper tube looks larger than it is because I slipped a piece of clear vinyl tube over it as a chafe guard.
