Brief Description: P-Mag switch circuit breakers and documentation
I have been wrestling withe the P-Mag wiring for awhile now. The installation instructions say to run two +12V circuits with 3A switched circuit breakers to each P-Mag. As an alternative they suggest two circuits with 3A slow-blow fuses.
I finally decided to use the switched circuit breakers although they were more expensive. Since I already had two fuse block circuits installed I ran the wires to the switched circuit breakers and then on to the P-Mags. I plan to fuse the circuits with about 5A blade fuses with the Tyco switched breakers in-line downstream. This setup will allow me to switch each mag off to test the internal power source.
I also took time out to document all the wire labeling I have accomplished in the last couple days. The documentation should be helpful if any troubleshooting is necessary in the future. The documentation currently consists of nine pages.
