Brief Description: Fitting the canopy frame and rails
Fabricated the canopy rails and fitted them to the fuselage per instructions. The rails were clamped to the fuselage per the measurements in the shop instructions. Holes were matched drilled and the necessary cuts in the rails were made to fit existing structure. Areas on both the fore and aft ends of the rails had to be relieved to get a nice smooth fit. I adjusted the hole placements slightly to be sure there was no interference with existing structure, specifically flanges and the area around the mid-fuselage seat support bar.
The canopy frame still needs a little bending to line up evenly on both sides of the fuselage and get the proper gap between the aft frame and upper skin. May need to use a 2x2 as a lever to get the aft frame adjusted downward.
