Brief Description:  Preparing fuselage parts for final assembly-part 2

There are sure a lot of holes to be deburred, countersunk, and dimpled. I began the shop session machine countersinking parts such as the upper, mid, and lower longerons. It took about 1/2 hour to countersink the side webs on just one upper longeron. Anyway, I finished the countersinking on all the longerons and moved on to deburring the various fuselage components match drilled earlier.

I still have the bulkheads to process and the back sides of the longerons to deburr. Once these are done it will be on to the skins. There are also numerous holes in the forward and center fuselage sections as well as the seat rib subassembly that still require deburring. I will be glad when this phase is complete!

The batteries ran down on my electric drill and electric deburring tool so I quit for the day. I have an early morning tour of the NMUSAF's AC-130 Spectre tomorrow but will be back in the shop before noon. I am anxious to get all the prep work completed so I can begin the final assembly of the fuselage before the weather turns cold.
