Brief Description:  Begin aft fuselage assembly

Today I continued working on the aft fuselage assembly. The ribs with their angles and bracket were drilled, deburred, and reassembled. The heavy aluminum angle for the seat belt brackets was cut and shaped per the plans. After priming of the angle, the subassembly was riveted together.

Last task for today was to retrieve the rear seat rudder pedla brackets and install. These had to be match drilled to the heavy angle, landing gear box, and landing gear weldment. The picture shows the bracket installed but I still need to radius the lower edge a little, prime, and reinstall. I will probably have to install a thinner washer to get the proper bolt threads in the lock nut.

My local industrial supply house (Grainger) let me down today. The stainless tape ordered last week should have arrived this morning from Chicago but it did not. Hopefully, it will come in tomorrow morning and I can get on with the assembly of the center section.
