Brief Description: Riveted the firewall to the forward fuselage floor
I mixed up about 15 grams of tank sealant and coated the middle section of the firewall where the air ramp will eventually be attached. This amount is more than enough for this small job. The firewall was then clecoed in place and Connie helped me drive the outboard rivets on each side. I then clecoed the two panels inside making up the forward baggage area.
The next task was to pull the parts required for the next steps in the shop manual and do some initial deburring of edges. Before beginning the next phase I will need the two spacers to finish up the center section. I recently found a local woodshop that can make the spacers using some scrap maple and a power planer. I should have the spacers upon return from Airventure 2010.
