Mansfield Airport Open House - Page 1
Mansfield Airport was holding an open house today so it seemed a good opportunity for the Ohio Valley RVators to gather for lunch. Connie and I launched in the Archer at about 0815 for the 50 min flight to MFD. The weather was perfect. Visibility was 30 miles and the air was glassy smooth even coming home later in the day.
We went early for the pancake breakfast and then checked out the car show. Eventually we came back around to the flight line to see what type of planes had arrived and it was quite a variety. Aside from nine RVs there were numerous examples of manufactured aircraft from different eras. I have posted a few pictures of my favorites in the following pages.
After meeting the RV guys, Connie and I headed for home about 1300. A little later in the evening we attended a 4th of July celebration at the Vandalia Recreation Center. A great day all around!
